Required qualifications

Here’s what you need to bring to the table:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required. Equivalent experience includes a proven track record of skills, professional accomplishments, or training related to the role.
  • 0-4 years of experience in working in technical teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with quantitative methods
  • High SQL proficiency.
  • Proficiency programming languages like R and Python.
  • Familiarity with programmatically generating data visualizations using tools such as ggplot2, VegaLite, Plotly, etc.
  • Knowledge of linear programming and modeling approaches
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex concepts clearly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, primarily remote environment.

Experience that's a plus

You’ll stand out if you also bring experience with:

  • Familiarity with supply chain optimization software (e.g., Coupa/Llamasoft, Optilogic Cosmic Frog, BY Strategist)
  • Familiarity with Linux core utilities.
  • Understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Project management experience

What you'll actually do

  • Collecting, cleaning, and wrangling messy client supply chain data into something meaningful
  • Designing and deploying network models that optimize inventory, transportation, and facility footprint
  • Simulating scenarios that answer big “what-if” questions for global operations
  • Translating model outputs into executive-ready stories and strategic options
  • Partnering with functional and technical teams to turn recommendations into results
  • Creating crisp visualizations and slide decks that make your insights stick
  • Traveling to client sites occasionally (up to 20%) to help build trust and drive change

Pay Range: $70,000-230,000 USD + Bonus

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Spinnaker SCA. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
