This role will focus on event logistics and construction management (tradeshow booths), booking travel, project management, and ensuring smooth execution through real-time organization and problem solving.</p> <p>This will be a full-time, <strong>exempt</strong> position located in our <strong>Long Beach</strong> location.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end planning and execution of all event-based marketing initiatives, including three major industry trade shows annually and a series of bespoke on-site and off-site events</li> <li>Boots on the ground, on-site event execution, serving as a point of contact during live events to manage real-time logistics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure every aspect runs smoothly, from last-minute build adjustments to managing staff and vendor coordination under pressure</li> <li>Act as project manager for each event, owning timelines, budgets, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination, including travel logistics, to ensure seamless execution</li> <li>Directly manage and liaise with external tradespeople including exhibit builders, carpenters, A/V teams, lighting designers, and other specialists to ensure flawless booth construction and activation</li> <li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, business development, facilities, and executive leadership to align event strategies and needs</li> <li>Own and maintain detailed documentation including production schedules, layouts, booth designs, and post-event debriefs</li> <li>Assist with vendor selection and management, including RFPs, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation</li> <li>Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements related to on-site construction and event operations</li> <li>Support creative and brand alignment, ensuring all event assets, experiences, and messaging reflect brand standards and storytelling objectives</li> <li>Measure and report on event performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve future programs</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in event management, with a focus on trade shows, corporate events, and experiential activations</li> <li>Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and moving parts</li> <li>Strong understanding of event production and fabrication processes, including working directly with builders, A/V teams, and technical crews</li> <li>Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with proficiencies in spreadsheets and project management tools</li> <li>Experience managing budgets, contracts, and timelines with a track record of delivering high-quality events on time and within scope</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and represent the company professionally on-site</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Skills & Experience</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in event management, marketing, construction, or logistics</li> <li>Familiarity with aerospace, tech, or startup environments</li> <li>Proficiency in AirTable (or project management equivalent, Google Works Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets), and construction software like CAD</li> <li>Experience working on large-scale or high-profile events</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments</li> <li>Passion for Vast’s mission and enthusiasm for contributing to space exploration</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Willingness to travel</strong> as needed to support event execution</li> <li><strong>Ability to work onsite</strong> at Vast’s Long Beach location to collaborate closely with the team</li> </ul><div><div><div>Salary Range: California</div><div><span>$105,000</span><span>—</span><span>$135,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div><div><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</strong></div> <div> </div> <div>Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
