Consumer Insights Consultant (Part-Time, Remote) – Contract

Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a Part-Time Consumer Insights Consultant for an 8-month contract, with potential for extension and increased hours.

This role supports Gold Bond and focuses on driving consumer insights to guide brand strategy, innovation, and communications development.

Schedule & Location

  • Part-time: 18–25 hours per week (flexible based on business needs)

  • Fully remote (U.S. based)

  • Must be able to work EST hours

  • Occasional travel to Morristown, NJ may be required for candidates located within commuting distance

Role Overview

The Consumer Insights Consultant will provide strategic insight leadership to support brand building, innovation pipelines, and claims strategy. This role will design and execute consumer research, synthesize findings for senior leadership, and drive agile, consumer-led decision-making for the innovation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a rolling Consumer Learning Plan

  • Prioritize research across innovation, claims, packaging, and communications

  • Translate business needs into insight frameworks

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives

  • Conduct volumetric analysis, naming exploration, and claims testing

  • Provide forward-looking category and consumer insights

  • Partner with and manage external research vendors

  • Build reusable templates, frameworks, and insight tools

  • Deliver clear, actionable recommendations to leadership

Key Deliverables

  • Consumer learning agendas and insight briefs

  • Concept, communications, and naming readouts

  • Executive-level presentations and recommendations

  • Volumetric and category analysis

  • Claims, messaging, and activation guidance

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in consumer insights, brand strategy, or CPG/consumer health

  • Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

  • Experience with volumetrics, naming, claims, and communications testing

  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights

  • Experience managing research vendors and platforms

  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments

Preferred Experience

  • Background in consumer packaged goods (CPG), especially beauty or personal care

  • Experience with companies such as Johnson & Johnson or L’Oréal (not required)

  • Consumer packaging experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
