JOB DESCRIPTION: Revit/MEP Drafting Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be a BIM Innovator:

  • Produce detailed MEP-focused models and drawings in Autodesk Revit (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection).

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and field technicians to document existing conditions and translate laser scan data into accurate 2D and 3D deliverables.

  • Perform clash detection, coordination, and constructability reviews across MEP systems.

Be Adaptable:

  • Work on a wide variety of projects, each with unique scopes, client standards, and software workflows.

  • Coordinate with project managers and survey teams to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met.

Be Cutting-Edge:

  • Integrate laser scan data, point clouds, and 360° imagery into BIM workflows.

  • Utilize Coast 2 Coast’s advanced tech stack (AutoCAD, Navisworks, and emerging Revit plugins) to enhance deliverable accuracy.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends by learning new tools and techniques for MEP and BIM modeling.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit, especially for MEP drafting or coordination.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design principles.

  • Ability to interpret and convert field data (laser scans, as-builts) into detailed Revit models.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
