About the Role Twilio is looking for a Public Relations and Social Media Intern to join our Global Corporate Communications team. This isn't just about monitoring feeds--it's a high-impact role where you'll dive headfirst into corporate storytelling, media relations, and social media strategy. You will be part of the team helping to craft Twilio's narrative and share how our technology is powering the future of customer engagement. Responsibilities * Media Relations & Content Support * Monitor daily news coverage to help identify new stories; daily social listening to help Twilio's corporate channels jump on to social trends or enter into the conversation. * Draft press releases, plans, social media posts, blog posts, and briefing documents that translate complex technical concepts into engaging stories for reporters and the public. * Strategy & Research * Research key reporters and publications across tech, business, and vertical trade media to identify new opportunities for engagement. * Assist in identifying and applying for industry awards and speaking opportunities that elevate Twilio's executive profiles and brand authority. * Operations & Global Coordination * Assist in scheduling social media posts across corporate channels, monitoring community sentiment/engagement, and tracking performance metrics for social campaigns. * Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling team meetings, and organizing assets and files. * Help maintain internal PR databases, track project timelines, and assist with tracking coverage. * Support the coordination of PR and social media activities with the broader Marketing org to ensure a consistent global message. Required * Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, communications or related field * Interest in Public Relations/ Corporate Communications * Interest in the tech industry, specifically B2B companies * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment * Strong research, critical-thinking, and organization skills * Passion for technology and how it solves real-world problems * Strong desire to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere, dive in where needed, and learn new skills Desired * Familiarity with PR and social media tools (e.g., Muck Rack, Meltwater, Sprout) * Previous experience working with a collaborative team Location This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Compensation *Please note the salary range information provided applies only to candidates residing in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State due to local requirements. Compensation for candidates in other locations will be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that hiring for this role is not restricted to the locations listed above. The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: * Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C.: $24.00/hour * Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $26.00/hour * Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $29.00/hour The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
