Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced YouTube Video Editor with advanced skills in editing, effects, transitions, custom creative edits, and documentary-style content. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, requiring a minimum of 1–3 high-quality videos delivered per week.

The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also understands timing, pacing, and storytelling that performs well on social media. You must be able to work under tight deadlines, adapt to fast-changing priorities, and deliver content that consistently engages audiences. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can balance creativity with efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit YouTube, lifestyle, talking-head, and documentary-style videos into polished, high-quality content
  • Apply advanced effects, transitions, and custom creative edits to elevate storytelling
  • Ensure timing, pacing, and visual flow resonate with social media audiences
  • Adapt quickly to last-minute changes, urgent requests, and shifting creative directions
  • Incorporate motion graphics, sound design, and other visual enhancements using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
  • Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and designers to maintain consistent brand identity across all videos
  • Optimize content for multiple platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media channels
  • Create attention-grabbing thumbnails and visual assets using Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, or similar software
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, YouTube algorithm changes, and editing techniques to maximize viewer engagement

Requirements:

  • Proven professional experience in YouTube video editing, lifestyle content, and documentary-style videos
  • Expertise in advanced editing techniques, effects, transitions, and custom edits
  • Strong understanding of social media storytelling, audience engagement, and fast-turnaround workflows
  • Reliable, dependable, and extremely flexible—able to adapt to urgent changes and deliver on time
  • Excellent eye for visual storytelling, motion graphics, design, and brand consistency

Bonus Skills:
