Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight, equipment, and personnel to various locations while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and smooth operations across our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and equipment to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues or damages.
  • Assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper use and safety compliance.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, transportation documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting to ensure vehicle functionality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related roles.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL license preferred but not mandatory depending on the role.
  • Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
  • Prior experience in logistics or transportation management is beneficial but not required. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining safety standards across all tasks performed.

Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 70.0 per week
