Position Summary

The Epic Analyst is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support of Epic systems and applications to meet organizational goals. This role serves as a critical liaison between clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure optimal system performance, efficient workflows, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This posting supports two needs for the Epic Rehabilitation initiative and the Pharmacy/Prior Authorizations initiative. Candidates should experience in either.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes current workflows and system configurations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Designs, builds, and tests Epic modules to align with business needs and user requirements (Specific to Rehabilitation or Pharmacy/Prior Auths).
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to create solutions that enhance clinical and operational efficiencies.
  • Configures Epic modules based on approved specifications.
  • Assists in the rollout of new Epic features, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Conducts system upgrades and implements new functionalities as needed.
  • Develops and executes test scripts to validate system functionality and integrations.
  • Documents testing outcomes and resolves defects in coordination with developers and end users.
  • Participates in quality assurance processes to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
  • Provides enduser training, ensuring users understand system features and workflows.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for system issues, troubleshooting, and resolving them promptly.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, guides, and support documentation.
  • Partners with crossfunctional teams, including IT, clinical, and operational departments.
  • Maintains effective communication with stakeholders regarding project timelines, changes, and updates.
  • Attends Epic user group meetings and stays current on Epic best practices and updates.

Key Qualifications

  • Either experience in Epic Rehabilitation or Pharmacy/Prior Authorizations is required.
  • Epic Certifications Required
  • Experience in systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design.
  • Participation in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation.
  • Proven success in projects in large healthcare organizations.
  • Ability to produce accurate and precise work, detect and resolve discrepancies all while meeting deadlines.
  • History of exemplary relationship management and effective communication with project sponsor, leaders, and team members from across the healthcare organization.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Education and Experience

  • Must be certified in 1 or more Epic Modules, including Epic Rehabilitation Module.
  • 5 years of experience with Epic system.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in planning, design, testing, implementation, support, and analysis of Epic system.
