Job Summary - Data Strategy Analyst, Enterprise

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Strategy Analyst to join our team and serve as a strategic thought partner across the PureCars organization in support of our largest enterprise level automotive client in PureCars Tier 3 book of business. This role will engage with business partners and departments across PureCars and adjacent business units to drive data-informed decision-making and elevate analytical maturity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert-level analytical capabilities, strong business acumen, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights that shape business strategy and performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and thought partner, guiding cross-functional teams, advising stakeholders, and elevating analytical maturity across the organization
  • Define analytical needs, shape problem statements, and design high-impact analytical frameworks that guide strategic decision-making
  • Lead complex analyses across multiple data sources, evaluating trends, diagnosing root causes, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights that influence business performance and direction
  • Analyze current and historical business data, assess trends, identify and explain variance from goals, and provide strategic recommendations
  • Distill large data sets into meaningful and actionable insights with minimal direction or criteria
  • Conduct strategic ad-hoc analyses, defining hypotheses, selecting methodologies, designing datasets, and delivering insights that shape policy, process, or operational direction
  • Independently identify and pursue high-value analytical opportunities in a self-directed manner to assess savings opportunities or optimization recommendations
  • Apply expert-level analytical capabilities—including regression, predictive modeling, or automated workflows—to evaluate business scenarios and develop forward-looking recommendations
  • Utilize advanced methodologies or analytical/reporting capabilities beyond descriptive statistics
  • Establish and oversee key performance metrics, ensuring they accurately reflect business objectives and are grounded in sound analytical methodology
  • Drive data governance efforts by establishing and refining metric definitions, championing standardization, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across all reporting environments
  • Maintain and improve metric definitions and reporting logic, proactively identifying inconsistencies and initiating governance updates to strengthen data accuracy and alignment
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex data, metric, and reporting issues, independently determining corrective actions and driving sustainable, organization-wide solutions

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • Automotive experience required, retail experience preferred
  • Minimum 5-8 years in the Auto-tech industry
  • Experience using reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI to design reports or conduct analysis
  • Demonstrated ability in building world-class relationships with client executives and in communicating technical product capabilities, success metrics, and best practices to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Skilled in client performance data analysis and in providing actionable and impactful insights to clients with a focus on optimizing revenue generation.
  • Adept in quickly analyzing varying client environments and needs, identifying and influencing key decision makers, and creating a long-term adoption of PureCars’ value proposition and suite of products.
  • Strong knowledge of online media channels (paid search, display, social, video, local SEO) and metrics, MS Excel/Google Sheets, Salesforce, PowerPoint, analytics tools, and client research.

Salary Range: $100,000.00-$125,000.00
