Top candidates will have outstanding presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.</p><p> </p><p>Job description</p><p>Construction Job Cost Accountant Responsibilities:</p><p>• Cost Allocation: Assigning costs to various jobs or projects, ensuring that all direct and indirect expenses are correctly recorded.</p><p>• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecast for upcoming projects, ensuring that projects remain within financial limits.</p><p>• Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost control, and providing insights to management for decision-making.</p><p>• Job Costing Reports: Preparing detailed reports on job costs, including comparison of actual versus estimated costs, to help project managers monitor and control expenses.</p><p>• Invoice Verification: Ensuring that invoices for materials, labor, and subcontractors are accurate and properly allocated to the right jobs or projects.</p><p>• Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure that project costs are tracked in real time and that financial data is accurate.</p><p>• Compliance: Ensuring all job cost accounting activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.</p><p>Construction Job Cost Accountant Requirements:</p><p>• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field (essential).</p><p>• 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience (essential).</p><p>• Sound understanding of accounting principles.</p><p>• Solid cost systems background.</p><p>• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.</p><p>• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.</p><p>• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p><p>• Excellent report-writing and communication.</p><p>• Procore Construction Software (essential)</p><p>• Microsoft Office</p><p>• Microsoft Excel</p>
